Though only 38 contestants took part in the Mrs World Pageant in Las Vegas on 20th January 2023, it was an impressive turn out. It is however a drastic drop compared to the over 80 ladies who contested in 2022. That year’s competition had representatives from practically every country of the globe.

Still the glitz and fun of the glamorous event did not dim. Famous TV host Nkiruka Azuka was the compere. Six of the former title holders also graced the event.

There were awards for virtually all the contestants at this event. With Malaysia winning big at the occasion. She made top six and won Most Original Costume.

South Africa, Jamaica and Mauritius made top seventeen at the grand finale. The top five however, had no Caribbean or African. Haiti was unplaced. Why did only these four countries turn up from these parts of the world?

The luckiest people in this occasion are the judges.They did not have to go through pruning over eighty beautiful, brilliant women to less than thirty. Can we then say that they did a great job?
